Difference between multi-storey steel structure and steel structure

Multi storey and high-rise steel structure is the second largest building material after water: it has the characteristics of versatility, durability and easy manufacture, and can be shaped into any shape. Multi storey and high-rise steel structures are very compressive, but they can not effectively deal with tension. For this reason, most high-rise steel structures are reinforced with steel bars to provide additional support for tensile load. This combination is called reinforced high-rise steel structure.

Multi storey and high-rise steel structures can be built in many ways, using different types of multi-storey and high-rise steel structures. The three most common types are plain cement multi-storey steel structure, reinforced multi-storey steel structure and prestressed multi-storey steel structure. Plain cement multi-storey steel structure is composed of cement, coarse aggregate (gravel), fine aggregate (sand) and water in a predetermined proportion according to the design needs. When hardened, these materials become homogeneous blocks. The structure made of ordinary cement multi-storey steel structure has high compressive strength, but almost no tensile strength. Therefore, plain cement multi-storey and high-rise steel structures are mainly used for road and wall multi-storey and high-rise steel structure blocks, because these structures bear compressive load. The reinforced multi-storey steel structure is basically a plain cement multi-storey steel structure with reinforcement, which can provide additional tensile strength. This is the most common type of multi-storey and high-rise steel structure in buildings. It is not only suitable for buildings, but also suitable for water tanks and other structures. Prestressed multi-storey steel structures are preloaded by applying compressive stress before bearing any load other than self weight. Compression is generated by tensioning high-strength reinforcement in the volume of multi-storey steel structure before external load is applied. Once put into use, this will improve its performance.

According to its chemical composition, it can be divided into low carbon steel, medium carbon steel, high carbon steel, low alloy steel or high alloy steel. As the name suggests, structural steel is a kind of steel used in the construction industry. The most common shape is the I-beam, which has a very hard cross-sectional area. Therefore, it can withstand high load without deformation. When choosing between multi-storey and high-rise steel structures, you can expect the following differences: the building materials most suitable for your building depend on the specific project needs. For example, multi-storey and high-rise steel structures can reduce construction costs in exchange for longer construction time, and steel is preferred when giving priority to rapid construction. In the case of limited space, steel can save space compared with multi-storey and high-rise steel structures with larger volume.
